What is the maximum temperature condition that can be used?
Increasing the applied voltage raises the temperature to around 100°C, but the plastic film around the heater itself will be deformed by heat, so I think that the upper limit of the practical range is about 60°C. We will propose appropriate temperature and specifications depending on the application.
Is it possible to create heaters with voltages other than 100V?
Of course, it is possible. For automotive applications, we have designed film heaters using a DC12V power supply.

What is the durability of the film heater in terms of repetitive use?
We conducted a repetitive test of ON for 3 minutes and OFF for 3 minutes, at DC12V, under an ambient temperature of 25°C. Even after 10,000 cycles, there were no issues.

Is there a risk of burns?
While high-temperature settings are possible, if it is for defrosting purposes, there is no need to worry about burns as the temperature will be around 40°C. We will propose the optimal temperature and specifications that suit your needs.
Is prototyping possible?
Of course, it is possible. If you provide us with CAD data, we can create a heater wiring sample. Furthermore, as we can also design the heater wiring, please feel free to contact us first.
What is the maximum size that can be produced?
We can form wiring on a film with a size of 600×400 mm. The maximum size for wiring is 350×280 mm.
